Ribeye steak, meanwhile, is one of the most delicious cuts available, but comes with a nearly 1:1 ratio of protein-to-fat, so it's a smart choice for those who are bulking or who have yet to achieve their daily fat target for the day. 4. Cottage Cheese Fast-acting whey protein is excellent for before or after your workouts, but quick protein isn't always what your body needs. Casein protein, on the other hand, moves slower through your body and gives your muscles a steady release of nutrition. That's where cottage cheese comes in. Cottage cheese offers greater protein density than milk and its slow release makes it a suitable snack for night time. Many bodybuilders enjoy cottage cheese for its lack of needed preparation time and versatility. Craving a dessert substitute? Cottage cheese and blueberries can satisfy your sweet tooth. If you're looking for something more savory, cottage cheese plus a dash of hot sauce can give you the savory snack you're after and the necessary proteins for muscle gain.

Hi all, I really would love to get some advice and ideas on how to convert my Dad's beloved foods to foods he can eat. My Dad has ALS and has recently had to go to a Dysphagia 1 diet which means purées, thickened liquids (but not too thick) and nothing too thin like water - he can drink protein drinks, tonic water and orange juice, anything with a little thickness to it is fine. Also nothing too sticky either. Puréed soups, mousses and sauces are what I've made so far which are working great. Foams, gelatins, should all be fine to eat. He just can't chew effectively anymore and swallowing pieces of food is dangerous. Even though his diet could be limited to bland mush, I refuse to think thats all there is left for him to eat. I know there is a way where he can still get excited about eating. He pretty much loved eating ALL types of foods before he got ALS. I'd say his top favorite foods/drinks were: all seafood (smoked salmon, lobster and shrimp especially), BBQ pork, grilled steak, cashews, sauerkraut, bratwurst, beets, corn, german chocolate cake, manhattans and red are definitely some top ones.

[Pg. 38] Mcl-l is a recognized major resistance factor in human cancer and Mcl-l over-expression has been linked to the pathogenesis of several cancers. Its anti-apoptotic properties are mechanistically related to its neutralizing interaction with BIM, BAK, NOXA and PUMA. ° Recently, a compelling Mcl-l BH3 stapled peptide has been reported to exhibit highly specificity and affinity to bind Mcl-l as well as effectively sensitizing cancer cells to caspase-dependent apoptosis in vitroJ An X-ray structure of Mcl-l complexed with this Mcl-l BH3 stapled peptide was also determined and showed inter-molecular contact of its hydrocarbon staple moiety with Mcl-l, accounting for the specificity versus other Bcl-2 family proteins.
