Hi all, Type 1 for 20-something years now, and I've run into some problems lately. Within the last maybe year and a half, I've gained a surprising amount of weight, and despite exercising and cutting calories down to (at one point) 800 a day, I'm having a hell of a time making the scale move at all. I talked to my endo about Ozempic or Victoza or another GLP-1 agonist, and she was adamant that she would not prescribe those. I also tried Metformin, but the cramping and constant runs were completely intolerable. She did finally prescribe Symlin, but won't help me get insurance to cover it, so of course, I'm priced completely out of it. Since that's everything I've read, even in a passing mention about improving insulin sensitivity and weight loss, do I have anywhere else to go from here? Thanks
