Why is that? Or am I simply wrong on those 2 points due to poorly-controlled experimentation? Is set-point theory correct? e. g. your body will naturally settle at a specific weight... sort of like a heating/cooling system that will correct the temperature to a set point. What affects the set point? What are the mechanisms behind those things?

So I'm really just looking for any advice that anyone thinks will be constructive to my journey.
